Java Tech Lead

UST seeks an experienced Java Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance applications. This role requires expertise in Java-based backend development and modern front-end technologies to lead end-to-end solutions.

Team time zone and overlap: overlap with EST time zone is required (till 20:00 UA time).

Project: the client belongs to a retail organization in the US.

Required Skills:

• Backend (80%): Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JUnit, Mockito.
• Frontend (20%): React JS, TypeScript, Redux, GraphQL.
• Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, GitHub Copilot (Desirable).
• Database: MongoDB (Desirable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on architect with an ability to lead team technically.
• Architect and develop robust, scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot.
• Ensure high code quality through JUnit, Mockito-based testing.
• Design efficient GraphQL APIs and integrate with modern frontends.
• Lead React JS, TypeScript, Redux-based frontend development.
• Optimize database performance, preferably with MongoDB.
• Implement best practices for Azure cloud deployments and CI/CD.
• Guide the team in adopting GitHub Copilot for efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Mentor developers and ensure adherence to coding standards.
