How will you make an impact in this role?

The Corporate Program Product Development team (CPPD) is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team leading digital innovation at American Express. We are responsible for deepening Client and Card Member engagement through our digital B2B products.  The team’s mission is to dramatically increase adoption and frequency of usage through a combination of in-depth insights, superior user experience and compelling features and functionality.


The listed job is an exciting opportunity for supporting the Commercial Card organization and be a part CIDP team. The Dedicated Management Information (DMI) Reporting team is a part of wider Digital Experiences and Platform (DEP) team and is responsible to manage reporting and data requirements for DMI client. This team supports the Global and Large Market (G&L) clients of American Express across the globe. With the changing needs of our G&L customers and rapidly evolving competitive dynamics.


  • Re-position GCS as industry thought leaders in core areas as clients are increasingly focused on sustainability, digitization of expense processes, and optimization of their travel and expense programs
  • Elevate and expand client relationships – leverage the power of data, insights, and strategic advisory to empower our Field colleagues and enhance relationships with our valued customers
  • The candidate will be part of the DMI team reporting to Manager and handle DMI client reporting by understanding their data requirement through scheduled deliverables as well as solving their business problem by doing custom analysis. This role involves quick decision making and strong stakeholder management to manage expectations
  • Data Analysis and Insights
    • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, correlations, and insights that drive business growth and support client strategies
    • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in datasets to help improve business performance.
    • Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring data integrity and quality

  • Reporting and Visualization
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, automated reports, and presentations using tools like Power BI, Tableau or Excel
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all reports.
  • Client Collaboration:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their data needs and provide tailored insights.
    • Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Automation & Process Improvement:
    • Enhance reporting efficiency by automating data extraction, processing, and visualization.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data quality.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for data and reporting-related queries.
  • Should have expertise on tools like python, hive/SQL and VBA to enable process automation and run advance analytics on data.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and innovative ideation
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and preferably a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Finance or Operations Research preferred. This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
  • Good knowledge of commercial Business, expertise in T&E industry domain preferred.
  • Prior experience in analytics and client facing role preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across multiple teams
  • Strong story telling skills, leadership communication, influencing skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, able to handle ambiguity and find logical steps to move forward

  • Analytics and Insights – Python/SQL/Hive/Excel
  • Visualization – Power BI/Tableau
  • Excellent Story telling skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior leaderships and customers
