Position: IT Risk Manager

Location: Helsinki, Finland

We are seeking a passionate IT Risk Manager to join an international financial services firm. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape their local operational risk function, focusing on data and security risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Oversight & Implementation: Establish and supervise the implementation of central norms and policies related to Data Management and Information Technology risks, including security.
• Risk Management: Ensure thorough control of Data Management and Information Technology risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with country and central management teams regarding Data Management and Information Technology risks.
• Local Policy Adaptation: Supervise and provide feedback on the local adaptation of policies, standards, and normative documentation.
• Risk Management Measures: Evaluate and support the implementation of information risk management measures to ensure effective processes and controls in the 1st Line.
• System Evaluation: Assess systems for managing and monitoring Data and Information Technology risks, and identify improvements for new projects.
• Training & Awareness: Conduct training and promote risk awareness and responsibility in the 1st Line.
• Risk Oversight: Coordinate and execute the 2nd line of Data Management and Information Technology risks control, continuously overseeing and reporting the effectiveness of the 1st Line.
• Point of Contact: Act as the primary contact for information risks, maintaining relationships with the central non-financial risk team.
• Reporting & Challenge: Contribute to and challenge reporting to committees regarding information risks, and scrutinize Data Management and Information Technology risks provided by the 1st Line.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Demonstrated experience in risk management practices and techniques, including developing and implementing risk policies, preferably in the banking industry.
• Education: Master's degree in business, technology, finance, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Background: Experience in Information Risk Management or related fields, with a focus on Information Technology and Data Management.
• Language: Proficiency in English.
