Product Development Leader – Applications for Mobility

Voltcore is an advanced materials startup developing innovative heating materials based on nanocomposite conductive yarns. Our mission is to create the most energy-effective and sustainable surface heating solutions. Our products are designed for mobility applications and beyond, helping reduce energy consumption, boost comfort, and cut CO₂ emissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ownership & Roadmap: Define and execute the company’s product development and implementation roadmap, ensuring alignment with market needs and technological advancements.
• Product Development: Lead product definition and R&D processes, ensure application success, and drive the implementation of new technologies.
• Manufacturing & Scale-up: Oversee production processes from prototypes to mass production, select contract manufacturers, and ensure efficient scale-up.
• Market Entry & Certification: Guarantee compliance with industry standards and certification requirements, particularly in mobility and automotive applications.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering and business development teams to ensure smooth product launch and adoption.
• Lead PoT/PoC/PoV phases with Clients: Define scopes, budgets, and timelines for Proof of Technology/Concept/Value (PoT/PoC/PoV) client projects, execute, ensure quality of results
• Technology & Innovation Strategy: Guide the technical vision for product evolution, aligning development with emerging market needs.
• Partnerships & Supply Chain: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, manufacturing partners, and key clients to drive product success.

Key Requirements

• Experience in Heating Hardware, Automotive Hardware or Consumer Electronics (mandatory): Deep understanding of technology requirements, certification processes, and industry standards.
• Production Launch Experience: Proven track record in scaling manufacturing from pilot projects to mass production.
• Product Development Experience: Strong background in product management, development, and bringing products to market.
• Technical Expertise: Experience in materials science, thermal management, and electrical engineering with a strong understanding of product feasibility and scalability.
• Leadership & Strategic Thinking: Ability to bridge the gap between product, technology, and business goals in a fast-paced startup environment.

Languages:

• English – full proficiency (mandatory)
• German or French – advanced proficiency (is an advantage)
• Startup experience is a plus: Ability to work in a dynamic, high-growth environment and manage limited resources effectively.

Conditions

• Work on-site/ hybrid in Luxembourg
• Help with relocation to Luxembourg, with visa and relocation support provided.
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
