Build And Release Engineer

Job Description

• Work with Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance and Project Management to define and execute projects that implement build, release and deployment of web software.
• Manage the source code control system (Git).
• Develop an automated, continuous, build process that reviews the source code, identifies build errors and notifies appropriate parties to expedite/facilitate synchronization to the latest build.
• Improve productivity by designing & developing full-featured build systems; implementing tools and scripts that enable efficient, flexible builds
• Integrated the build system to the bug tracking system
• Develop an efficient deployment process for web deployments
• Identify and propagate best practices and processes
• Communicate releases related activities to all the stakeholders and take their feedback to improve the process.

Job Specification

• Proficiency in tools like Git and understanding branching, merging, and pull requests.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Automating builds, testing, and deployments.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Working knowledge of Docker for containerization.
• Proficiency in orchestration platforms like AKS/ Kubernetes.
• Expert in Cloud Platform: Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: Preferred Azure.
• Understanding cloud-native concepts and tools.
• Prior experience in Python Programming Language (preferably Python 3).
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery role with strong knowledge in Scrum, Kanban.
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
• Effective Communication.
• Ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
