We are partnering with a specialist transformation consultancy to recruit an experienced UX Design Lead for a strategic, high-impact engagement with a major client in the Energy & Engineering sector.

This role is focused on shaping the user experience across a suite of complex, mission-critical enterprise applications, helping to drive digital transformation at scale. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior UX professional with a strong track record in designing sophisticated enterprise platforms and the ability to translate highly technical workflows into intuitive, user-friendly solutions.

Role Summary

You will lead the UX design efforts for three critical EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) applications. These tools are central to the client’s global project delivery and require a UX expert who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on design excellence. You'll work closely with distributed teams across Europe and offshore delivery hubs, ensuring design consistency, technical alignment, and user-centric outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full UX/UI design lifecycle for three enterprise applications
• Develop and maintain robust design systems across platforms
• Translate business needs and user feedback into clean, usable designs
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI specifications
• Partner with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to bring designs to life
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation
• Simplify complex technical and engineering workflows for digital environments
• Define UX best practices within an offshore delivery context
• Mentor and support development teams on design implementation

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior UX professional with 8+ years’ experience in enterprise application design
• Proven experience designing complex, data-intensive web applications
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Angular-based UI environments
• Strong portfolio showcasing design systems, data visualization, and scalable UI solutions
• Demonstrated ability to simplify technical and industrial workflows
• Comfortable working in technical domains such as Energy, Oil & Gas, or EPC
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and accessibility standards
• Experienced in working with offshore and distributed development teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Experience

• UX design for 3D interfaces or model viewers
• Familiarity with AG Grid or other complex data grids
• Background in industrial software or technical engineering applications
• Experience implementing enterprise-grade design systems

Location & Working Model

• Position is based in Oslo, Norway
• Hybrid working arrangement (onsite + remote)
• Must have the ability to collaborate effectively with offshore teams

• Digital Collaboration Platform – Facilitating data-centric collaboration across teams with full traceability
• 3D Construction Planning Tool – Enabling method engineering using 3D tools aligned with design engineering workflows
