What’s the Opportunity?


Be part of SiriusXM’s exciting expansion as they open a state-of-the-art tech hub in Dublin. As a Software Engineer II - Android, you’ll work on either Android or Web-based client software for our SiriusXM and Pandora products. As a member of our Client Software Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to improve the Pandora and SiriusXM experiences for the millions of customers they serve. You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team.


What You’ll Do


  • Develop innovative enhancements and new features for our existing Pandora and SiriusXM applications or websites,
  • Facilitate the troubleshooting of pre- and post-production issues, working closely with the development team,
  • Participate in code reviews as part of a much larger team,
  • Be familiar with the overall software stack and the software components of the applications and websites we build, and always be looking for ways to improve,
  • Participate in your team’s software development coding standards, code review, and all documentation as it applies to the software development of the platforms you work on,
  • Participate in the Agile development process for client development,
  • Keep fully aware of the industry evolution, new technologies, and evolution of client applications or web frameworks.



What You’ll Need


  • Collaborative mindset: You love engaging in code reviews and technical discussions, working seamlessly with your team.
  • Strong communication skills: You’re able to clearly convey your ideas and collaborate effectively.
  • Growth-oriented: You’re eager to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience: You have 2+ years of developing client software, either for Android platforms.


For Android Developers:

  • Expertise in developing native apps using the latest Android tools (Android Studio, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose).
  • Knowledge of modern design patterns such as MVVM.
  • Nice to have: Experience with open-source projects like Coil, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Gradle), and frameworks like Hilt and media3.
