Visual Designer

PE Global is recruiting for a Visual Designer on behalf of our global technology client in Dublin. This is an initial 6-month contract hybrid role.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Visual Designer with expertise in Design Systems and Figma to join our team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in auditing our existing UI Platform libraries and translating them into comprehensive, well-organised Figma libraries for use by our internal product design teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Designers and Platform Engineers, to ensure the libraries meet both design and technical needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit existing UI Platform libraries to assess and catalogue components, patterns, and design elements.
• Build and maintain Figma libraries for our internal platform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and ease of use for our Product Designers.
• Collaborate closely with Product Design, and Engineering teams to ensure that Figma components align with our design system principles and platform requirements.
• Develop documentation and usage guidelines for designers to easily adopt and implement the Figma libraries across their workflows.
• Test and iterate on Figma components based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring they meet both design quality and functionality requirements.
• Act as the Figma expert for the team, providing support and guidance on best practices for using the libraries.
• Ensure alignment between design and platform by creating components that work seamlessly across the entire product ecosystem.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Visual Designer with a strong focus on Design Systems.
• Expert knowledge of Figma and deep experience in building complex component libraries.
• Ability to audit existing design assets and translate them into a structured, user-friendly design system.
• Strong Design skills with a keen eye for detail, consistency, and quality.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure seamless adoption of the Figma libraries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with design systems.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level product design processes and platforms.
• Previous experience auditing and creating libraries in other design tools like Sketch or Adobe XD is a plus.
