Full Stack Engineer

UST is looking for a senior Full-Stack Node.js Engineer to join our dynamic team developing cutting-edge internal actuarial solutions on a cloud platform.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in actuarial technology while working with state-of-the-art cloud solutions.

Working hours: till 23:00 EET.

Job Requirements:

• 8 years of software development experience
• Proficiency in multiple tools of the entire stack covering frontend frameworks, databases, and deployments
• Experience with a variety of general programming languages
• Experience with Test-Driven Development
• Experience with a variety of database technologies
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information
• Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a straightforward manner

Technical Requirements:

• AWS (Amazon Web Services, Serverless, Containerization)
• Node.js
• React
• Relational/NoSQL database (Oracle, Postgres)
• Terraform (Dev Ops, Jenkins, CI/CD)
• SQL (Solid understanding of writing SQL)
• C# (Code comprehension)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create API-based web applications from concept to production, emphasizing cloud-first architecture
2. Tackle complex technical challenges, providing innovative solutions in ambiguous situations
3. Work closely with product stakeholders and the development team, effectively communicating technical concepts
4. Develop, test, and deploy API-based systems using industry-leading practices
5. Ensure high-quality, well-tested code and seek continuous improvements

Required Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud deployment methodologies
2. Experience with API development and cloud-based architectures
3. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
4. Ability to work independently and manage tasks without direct supervision
