We are looking for an experienced Junior IT Project Manager to support our international client in the delivery of complex and large-scale IT projects. The role involves leading cross-functional initiatives across areas such as infrastructure, cloud transformation, enterprise applications, and organizational change. This is a long-term opportunity within a multinational environment, requiring strong coordination skills and a solid background in IT project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and structuring IT projects to ensure they meet scope, time, and budget requirements.
  • Apply project management practices (e.g., PMP, Scrum) in alignment with internal methodologies and standards.
  • Support coordination of project initiatives, managing risks and resource allocation across project phases.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint reviews) and support value streams as a Scrum Master.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Prepare project documentation and presentations to support decision-making processes, adhering to quality and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain working relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Track project KPIs in collaboration with key stakeholders and integrate lessons learned.
  • Support cross-functional teams, working with sponsors and senior stakeholders.
  • Assist in vendor collaboration, ensuring effective management of third-party suppliers.
  • Use project management tools to monitor project progress, perform regular reporting, and manage cost planning.

Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Technical Studies, or a related field (Master’s level preferred)
  • Relevant project management certification (e.g. PMI, IPMA Level B) is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • At least 2 years of professional experience, including 1+ years in project or program leadership roles
  • Experience leading complex international IT projects such as cloud transformation, enterprise application and tool setup and rollout, PowerBI
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken) required and German language skills

Contractor position

Start: May/June

Hybrid work model with occasional on-site presence in Vienna
