Software engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

SII Group Belgium is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Software Developer (Java/Spring Boot) to join our SII Team to work for a project in a challenging and innovative sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software applications, as well as maintaining and improving existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute in the design and outlining of Java solutions (with the analyst and / or architect)
• Understands the business needs and perform the needed functional analysis
• Ensure continuous integration and deployment of solutions
• Deliver scalable Java web applications according to agreed planning and budget
• Develop qualitative sites that exceed all customers' expectations
• Test applications and overcome technical issues encountered
• Add value to the sales cycle by giving input to your commercial colleagues (presales)
• Add constantly to the Java competency within SII Belgium
• Support the project manager during the estimation process
• Train customers and users
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science
• Between 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with Agile methodology such as Scrum
• Strong knowledge of Java & Spring boot
• Experienced in Web-Sockets, Rest, XML, JSON
• Good knowledge of PKI and/or JavaCards
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap
• Knowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript with Angular is a big plus
• Knowledge in MicroServices, Kubernetes, JetStream; KAFKA is also a big plus
• Fluent in English. French is an asset
