What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and Angular;
• Create RESTful APIs with Grape and manage data using MongoDB (via Mongoid) and PostgreSQL;
• Handle background job processing with Sidekiq and implement caching with Redis;
• Secure authentication with Devise and protect against DDoS using Rack-Attack;
• Integrate third-party services like AWS SDK and Shopify API;
• Support migration from DigitalOcean to AWS;
• Monitor performance with New Relic and collaborate with teams to deliver features;
• Ensure code quality and automate tasks;
• 100% remote, working from Portugal.
  
  
  

Who You Are

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and Angular;
• Proficiency in MongoDB (via Mongoid) and PostgreSQL;
• Expertise in background job processing (Sidekiq) and caching (Redis);
• Experience with authentication (Devise) and security (Rack-Attack);
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EventBridge, Lambda);
• Knowledge of API development (Grape) and search tools (Searchkick, Elasticsearch);
• Experience integrating third-party services like Shopify and AWS SDK;
• Familiarity with real-time monitoring (New Relic) and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
