Chief Information Security Officer

Are you an experienced cybersecurity leader with a passion for building resilient, business-enabling security programs across diverse markets? A fast-growing regional organization is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to drive its cybersecurity strategy, governance, and execution across the Asia-Pacific region.

About the Role:

As the CISO, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for shaping the cybersecurity vision and aligning it with business objectives. You will collaborate with global and local stakeholders across Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure secure digital transformation and regulatory adherence.

This is a high-impact role suited for a strategic thinker who also thrives in dynamic, execution-driven environments.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute a regional cybersecurity strategy that aligns with global standards while addressing local business needs.
• Act as a key liaison between regional business units and global cybersecurity teams.
• Lead cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, and incident response efforts across the region.
• Build and nurture a high-performing, distributed cybersecurity team.
• Collaborate with C-level stakeholders and boards to communicate cyber risks and influence investment decisions.
• Champion a strong cybersecurity culture through awareness, training, and engagement programs.
• Drive improvements in cloud security, third-party risk management, and secure software development practices.
• Oversee KPIs, threat intelligence, and posture assessments to continuously evolve the organization’s security maturity.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership/CISO-level role.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, compliance, and incident response.
• Experience working across regulated industries (e.g., finance, insurance, telco) in APAC.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, MAS TRM, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, regulators, and global teams.
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC or similar.
