OVERVIEW

We are looking for a strong mid-level Network Engineer to support telecom clients. The Network Engineer should have an understanding and experience in core networking, as well as a self-starting and independent mindset. The ideal resource is looking to grow into a more senior and influential Network Engineering role long term.

This position is fully remote for candidates living in the metro areas of Denver, CO, Austin, TX, Ann Arbor, MI, or Indianapolis, IN.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Upgrading and deploying equipment in data centers to support customers
  • Supporting the build and design of network infrastructure data centers
  • True engineering: setting up LANs/ WANs, designs
  • Collaborates with senior Network Engineers
  • Utilizes networking stacks such as Cisco and Juniper
  • Understands and works with routing protocols: BGP, EPL, VLAN
  • Supports network security


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in networking working with switching and routing
  • Experience with Juniper or Cisco routers and switches
  • VMware and Broadcom hardware knowledge
  • Network security experience with Fortinet or different firewalling and end point protection
  • VMware NSX experience is preferred
  • Telecommunications industry experience is a plus
