Portfolio Performance Analyst – Doha, Qatar

CLIENT


Linum Consult’s client is a major energy company operating out of Qatar. They are currently in need of a Portfolio Performance Analyst to support the Asset Performance Management team, to be based in Doha.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Leading the company’s performance monitoring, analysis, and management support tools and processes to enable actionable business intelligence, insights, and reporting for stakeholders across the company’s asset portfolio
  • Carrying out the enterprise-wide implementation and management of the company’s Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions, and the continued development and deployment of the company’s data science machine learning activities (DSML)
  • Devising data mining for all phases of predictive analytics, including ETL (extract, transform, load) data cleaning, and supervised and unsupervised APM and other DSML modelling and model training
  • Deploying AI and neural network algorithms to map and collect data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
  • Analysing the company’s asset and portfolio performance data, producing and disseminating standardised and ad hoc reporting to management
  • Supporting the design, development, and administration of the company’s digitisation vision, strategy, implementation, and governance


PROFILE


  • Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering subject, with educational or practical applications of computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, or mathematics
  • At least 10 years’ experience in large process plant and industrial settings, with experience in industrial financial and non-financial KPIs and BPIs and SAP/Oracle/Maximo/MS Dynamics or equivalent ERP environments
  • Experience in quantitative analysis (stochastic calculus, PDEs, Monte Carlo methods, and numerical methods) and analytical and statistical methods
  • Technical knowledge and experience of programming languages: R, Python, SQL, and Time Series data acquisition systems like SQL, Kafka Streams, etc.
  • Very strong knowledge of MS 365, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps
  • IT project management experience implementing data warehousing products (Oracle, SAP, Maximo, etc.), business intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong background in collaboration and innovation, technical and business understanding of data ETL and data cleaning (validation, verification, false positives)
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
