About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Lead to launch and lead a groundbreaking Arabic podcast network based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time leadership role will oversee the development of original Arabic-language podcasts, manage the buildout of a state-of-the-art podcast studio, and drive brand partnerships across the MENA region.

The Project Lead will work closely with our client’s leadership, the Global Communications Office of Qatar, and key regional stakeholders to bring this ambitious initiative to life and position audio and podcasting at the forefront of media across the MENA region.

As the leader of the new Doha-based team, this individual will be responsible for building a network of creators, identifying top local talent, and shaping the future of Arabic-language audio storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Podcast Production & Content Development

• Recruit and lead a small but highly skilled production team, including audio engineers and producers, to support the network’s operations.
• Spearhead the launch of up to 10 original Arabic podcasts within the first 12 months, overseeing the full production lifecycle from concept to distribution.
• Identify and onboard top local talent and creators from across the MENA region, fostering relationships with both emerging and established voices in Arabic podcasting.
• Broker partnerships with existing podcast creators, integrating them into the network and expanding our client’s Arabic-language content slate.
• Oversee the content strategy, ensuring programming is high-quality, engaging, and culturally relevant to Arabic-speaking audiences.

Studio Build, Operations & Community Engagement

• Work closely with our client’s studio facilities team to oversee the design, construction, and completion of a cutting-edge podcast production studio in Doha, ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget.
• Develop efficient operational workflows for recording, editing, and publishing podcasts at scale.
• Manage production and recording schedules, ensuring maximum utilization of studio resources.
• Establish the studio as a Center of Excellence for podcasting across Qatar and the MENA region by hosting industry events, creator workshops, and high-profile recordings.
• Partner with local businesses, media organizations, and creators to foster a thriving podcasting ecosystem in the region.

Brand Partnerships & Business Development

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brands, sponsors, and advertising partners across the MENA region.
• Identify revenue-generating opportunities through sponsorships, branded content, and strategic business collaborations.
• Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute promotional strategies that drive audience growth and engagement.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

• Serve as the primary liaison between our client’s key stakeholders and the Global Communications Office of Qatar.
• Provide regular updates on project timelines, budgets, and key milestones to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and scale the Doha-based team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Ensure seamless coordination between creative, technical, and business teams to successfully execute the partnership vision.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience in project management, with a strong track record of overseeing large-scale media, content, or creative projects from inception to completion.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders across different regions.
• Background in media, content creation, or podcasting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with brand partnerships, sponsorships, and business development within the media industry.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English (both written and verbal).
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
