Senior Software Engineer, Google Play Games

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining core backend services using Java, C++, or C# to create the development experience for game developers on Google Play Games.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Write high quality and well engineered code, the range of technologies used could range from backend to developer tools to deep refactoring and re-architecture of significant parts of the product.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Lead a team and squad of engineers and take accountability of the delivery, execution and impact.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
