Requirements
We are looking for a Lead Rust Developer that has who is flexible with technology, and
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 5 years of experience with Java & Spring boot
- At least 3 years as Lead Developer(or similar role)
- Preferably experience with Rust, Node.js and/or Typescript
- Experience in Start-up environment
- Currently Live in the Netherlands

👩💻 What will you do 🧑💻
As a Lead Developer you'll be pivotal in maintaining the back-end quality of our ION (Interoperability Network) products. ION is the back-end infrastructure which facillitates the data exchange across Dutch healthcare systems. ION manages Single-Sign-ON, authentication, authorization, an address book, audit logging, and FHIR connectors, all built on decentralized Nuts standards. Our microservices architecture leverages technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Java, Rust, Golang and FHIR.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Proposing and scoping initiatives to improve reliability, traceability, and performance.
- Collaborating with the product manager to turn solution architectures into documented software architectures.
- Working with the product owner to prioritize the roadmap and ensure tasks are aligned with business goals.
- Preparing sprints and breaking down Epics into user goals and tasks with clear definitions of done and QA requirements. Other developers in your team then define and manage their own issues.
- Take an active role in the daily stand-ups, ensuring engineers are on track, and communicating updates to internal teams.
- Writing high-quality code and leading by example.
