Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry. Headquartered in New Zealand, they offer a range of innovative products designed to enhance the customer experience at fuel stations and retail locations.
The solution is designed to provide secure, fast, and reliable payment processing at fuel dispensers. These terminals support various payment methods, including EMV, NFC, and mobile payments. This software platform enables remote management and monitoring of payment devices. It includes features for security, diagnostics, and real-time updates, facilitating efficient operation and maintenance.
The solutions allow for remote monitoring and management, reducing downtime and maintenance costs while ensuring devices are always up-to-date and secure. The client operates in multiple countries and serves many clients, from small independent fuel retailers to large multinational chains.
It is a technical position in a highly experienced technical team. The IoT environment has real production loads, and there are lots of opportunities to learn and innovate. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of AWS web services and third parties.
Requirements
Part of the role’s responsibilities is participating in the team’s on-call rotation. Currently, the rotation is every 7 weeks: Monday through Friday and weekends, 8:30 a.m. CST to 11:30 p.m. CST.
The on-call person is the single point of contact and is accountable for addressing the issues by running jobs or coordinating with other teams to resolve them.
Compensation: Next Friday is off after the on-call week.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with AWS Cloud IaaS management frameworks: configuration, operations, auto-scaling (relevant services: EC2, S3, Lambda. Exposure to CDK and AWS CLI to do deployments will be a bonus).
- 2+ years of experience with RDS.
- Understanding of configuration management frameworks for automated deployment: Ansible, Terraform.
- Strong Linux system administration, shell scripting, and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Familiarity with SOA, Enterprise Architect, Jenkins, and Nagios desired.
- Knowledge of Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ruby, or Java languages.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Maximize maintainability and efficiency of all current systems/software via code and performance monitoring and optimization, reporting, and integration management.
- Debug application issues and provide quick workarounds to bring systems ops normal.
- Design, build, configure & manage Amazon AWS-based infrastructure and configuration.
- Develop scripts using configuration management frameworks: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Chef.
