Job Description:
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
We are looking for Cyber & Information Security experts to strengthen our team in our Brussels office with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Security Risk Assessments: Proven experience in conducting security risk assessments, developing functional security requirements, process design, and management reporting.
- Key Security Domains: Familiarity with industry best practices in identity and access management, PKI, network security, and data protection.
- Application Security: Knowledge of software development and testing, OWASP guidelines, code scanning tools, and security/compliance automation using CI/CD pipelines.
- Security Technologies: Experience with IDAAS (Identity as a Service), identity management platforms, secure access management, federation services, PKI, cryptographic solutions, web application firewalls, and endpoint security.
- Technology Domains: Knowledge of security technologies covering domains like Virtualisation, Software Defined Networks, Cloud IAAS/PAAS/SAAS, Network and DMZ infrastructure, VOIP, Wi-Fi (802.1x), Anti-malware, System protection, Middleware, Collaboration and end-user workspace solutions, Storage (SAN, NAS), Databases, and Infrastructure as a Code (IaC).
- Certifications: Preferred professional certifications include CISSP, GIAC, SABSA, ISO 27001 LA/LI, or specific security-related product certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Define and advise on the design, implementation, and testing processes to protect information system assets.
- Perform risk assessments, translate security architecture, and define security requirements for business and IT projects (secure by design).
- Contribute to architectural designs and validate them against security requirements.
- Define security testing requirements and penetration test scopes, actively support testing teams, and approve test reports.
- Define, implement, and ensure proper functioning of security services in line with IT security policies.
- Recommend improvements to security services and advise division management.
- Produce documented security services, technical standards, and principles.
- Act as a security subject matter expert in specific domains (e.g., Mainframe Security, PKI and Cryptography, Network Security, Platform Security, IAM, Application Security, or Secure Coding)—being the point of contact for business and project teams.
- Engage with stakeholders, including business owners/analysts, project leaders, risk management, auditors (internal/external), engineers, developers, and architects.
Your Profile:
- Educational Background: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar fields.
Experience:
- Senior profile: Minimum 10+ years of cybersecurity experience across multiple domains, with a track record across industries.
- Entry-level profile: Minimum 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in one domain.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in documentation and presentation applications such as PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Expertise in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of multiple security technologies and domains as mentioned above.
