I&C Engineering Manager

SilverBack is seeking a Manager – Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineering for a permanent role based in Kouvola, Finland, supporting the delivery of a hyper-scale data centre project. This is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in one of the most critical infrastructure developments in the region.

Your Role:

You’ll support the Design Manager or Lead Engineer in delivering efficient, innovative, and compliant I&C solutions, ensuring technical excellence and commercial effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead C&I design efforts for a hyper-scale data centre.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Conduct site surveys, develop technical solutions, and prepare cost estimates.
• Produce tender documents and assist with bid evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety legislation, and project milestones.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Your Profile:

• HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of post-qualification experience in C&I design, ideally with data centre experience or similar high-reliability environments.
• Solid understanding of control systems, industry practices, and current legislation.
• Professional membership (working towards Chartered status preferred).
• EU citizen or eligible to work in the EU.
