Lead Architect for Self-Service

We are a team of architects in an Agile organization, dedicated to creating sustainable architecture and guiding the organization while empowering the people who drive daily progress.

We are seeking a Lead Architect to join our team and be the steward of the private self-service domain. You will play an important role in the largest insurance company in the Nordics. Join us in delivering great self-service solutions for our customers.

About The Role

As the Tribe Lead Architect, you will be responsible for the architectural work in our private self-service tribe, enabling them to make the right architecture decisions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, development squads, and other architects to ensure that your tribe builds the right solutions that fit into the bigger picture. You will be part of the Nordic Architecture unit, collaborating with architects from across the Nordics to advance the architecture and drive digital transformation.

About The Team

You will join a team of architects in similar roles, collectively responsible for the general architecture of Digital Channels. Our job is to look for synergies, set the path for the future, and foster collaborations. We focus on sharing and learning from each other, as well as becoming better architects together.

The Tribe

The Oasis tribe owns our self-service capabilities for private customers across the Nordics. Our most prominent products are My Pages, the Mobile Apps, and the Digital Assistant. The tribe is also responsible for self-service APIs for our partners and many other smaller products. You will help our capable technical team evaluate designs and trade-offs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving Architecture Work: Lead the architectural efforts within the tribe and enable squads to make informed architecture decisions
• Communicating Priorities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to communicate priorities and capabilities, helping them achieve their objectives
• Technical Roadmaps: Assist tribe leadership in developing technical roadmaps and identifying opportunities for improvement in work and organization
• Initiatives and Studies: Participate in digital channels-related initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and pre-studies
• Continuous Learning: Continuously learn and build knowledge about solutions and architecture
  
  
  

Who are you?

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English
• A passion for technology and the latest advancements
• Can align architectural decisions and recommendations with business needs, and excels at working at the intersection of business and IT development
• Extensive experience as a solution architect in digital channels, eCommerce, or self-service solutions
• Have experience from working on modern web or mobile apps
• Understanding of cloud technology and architecture in complex enterprise environments
• Strategic thinking in a constantly evolving environment
  
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Background in InsureTech, FinTech, Telecom, or another highly regulated industry
• Strong Agile experience and motivation
• Proficient in Finish or another Nordic language
• Experience with Azure and .net
