Back End (Python) - Web3 - Remote - €60k

We offer a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing Web3 startup building the most visual and intuitive investigation tool for blockchain data. Their mission is to bring clarity, transparency, and accountability to the crypto ecosystem by exposing suspicious patterns and uncovering fraud on-chain.

Following a successful launch of their V1 — which gained strong traction, funding, and partnerships across the Web3 and Cloud ecosystems — they're now scaling up. There’re entering a new product phase with more powerful data pipelines, broader blockchain coverage, and more advanced analytics capabilities.

Our partner is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to scale the data infrastructure. You’ll work on the ingestion, processing, and serving of on-chain and off-chain data — making you a critical piece in the product’s next evolution.

Core Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Python services using FastAPI, Google Cloud Functions, and containerized environments.
• Data Engineering: Work on end-to-end pipelines: from data ingestion and transformation to building APIs that serve blockchain data in real time. You’ll interact with systems like Postgres, Clickhouse, Firebase, Redis, and more.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the efficiency of backend services and processing workflows to handle increasingly large volumes of data.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Blockchain Data Engineer and CTO to align backend capabilities with product needs. Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and product ideation.
• Continuous Learning & Contribution: Explore emerging blockchain standards, networks, and technologies. Contribute to an open-minded and curious engineering culture where you can grow fast and build with purpose.

What They Require:

• Proficiency in Python with experience in building backend services using FastAPI
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Functions and deployment workflows
• Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, Clickhouse, Redis, Firebase)
• Familiarity with data processing pipelines and handling large datasets
• Autonomous, rigorous, and comfortable in a remote-first environment
