Blockchain Developer (Rust) - HFT Prop Fund

With a strong presence in digital assets, they are expanding their capabilities in decentralised finance (DeFi), developing cutting-edge trading strategies and infrastructure to support this growth.

Role Overview

They are seeking an experienced Back-End Blockchain Engineer to join their growing Digital Assets Technology team in Amsterdam. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-performance systems that power real-time DeFi trading. Working closely with traders and engineers, you will develop scalable, low-latency infrastructure and drive protocol-level innovation across DeFi markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance systems for DEX and DeFi trading
• Develop and maintain smart contracts, indexers, APIs, and market-making bots
• Integrate with DeFi protocols, liquidity pools, and decentralised exchanges
• Optimise event-driven microservices and blockchain transaction processing
• Ensure security, availability, and reliability of blockchain back-end components
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers to automate and accelerate digital asset strategies
• Share protocol knowledge and best practices to grow the team's blockchain expertise

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in back-end software development
• Proficient in Rust
• Solid DeFi development experience, including protocol interactions and liquidity strategies
