Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a new team member for an exciting role as an HR Generalist.

General Information:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Temporary
• Location: Basel
• Home Office: Possible, to be discussed
• Workload: 100%

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Sound Swiss HR generalist knowledge and experience required for policy framework (owner of local policies, e.g. Handbook, Hybrid Working policy, time & absence)
• Understand ELC changes which have potential implications on payroll and other areas (e.g., change in tax at source tariff, permit update, etc)
• Cross-border region complexity (tax, social security)
• Interaction with authorities (unemployment confirmations, child allowance, maternity leave, paternity leave, military allowance....)
• Local HR Payroll Input while payroll will be managed by our colleagues in Polen and external payroll provider ADP e.g.,
• Experience with Employer Representative (Social Partnership)

Pension Contribution:

• New contributions: beginning of the year (in case of risk contribution change)
• Upload new insured salaries effective March 1 to Trianon portal
• Monthly Changes

Year-End Tasks:

• Communication of Cross-border gross salaries to Basel tax authorities (France)
• Confirm the applicable payroll deduction % for insurances for ADP Switzerland

Experience & Competencies:

• Ideally, 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English and German
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Hands-on attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of a matrix organization.
• Experience with Workday.

Education:

• HR Specialist or equivalent qualifications
