Backend Engineer (Golang)

Are you interested in developing the first backend systems of a startup and contributing to its tech strategy?

I'm hiring our first employee in Engineering to continue developing and operating the core systems to deliver smart receipts.

Your Day to Day

• Further develop our backend systems in Golang ensuring high availability and low latency delivery of our smart receipts.
• Help us continue developing our infrastructure. We have a cool setup already in place with a commit-to-deployment loop of 2m, but occasionally it might need changes or tweaks.
• Data is an important part of our business. Some SQL work is needed for our data pipelines. We use BigQuery via dbt.

Who you Are

• I would love it if you have experience with Go, but you can learn it quickly if you come from other common backend languages like Java, Python or JS/TS.
• You have experience working with backend systems where high availability and scaling were a consideration.
• You have experience designing systems involving caching, load balancing, storage, etc.
• You are passionate about programming and continuous learning.

Some Notes:

• We like working from our office in WeWork Gallerian, Stockholm. We are flexible, but the role is not remote.
• We can’t sponsor a working visa if you are not already in Sweden.
