Lead Software Engineer

QuantumGate is a startup within VentureOne, supported by the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) and its research arm, the Technology Innovation Institute (TII). We specialize in developing and commercializing advanced post-quantum cryptographic solutions, with a mission to secure enterprise digital environments through cutting-edge protocols and applications that tackle the challenges of the post-quantum era.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Lead to join our dynamic team to lead our cloud-based project and team with a focus on providing a virtual Android service, mobile applications, infrastructure and virtual machine scalability, security, and overall service scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the productization of an earlier proof-of-concept Android in the Cloud solution.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based solution on Azure or Google Cloud Platform (or similar) and the corresponding cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee the development of mobile applications that integrate seamlessly with cloud services.
• Ensure the security and hardening of the cloud infrastructure, implementing best practices and compliance standards. Oversee the Security Validation from third-party verification team.
• Architect scalable solutions to handle growing user demands, data volumes and performances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and team members to define project requirements, steer priorities and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor and guide developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements

• Experience in leading and delivering software and software teams for Products to productization.
• 7 - 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and / mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Azure or Google Cloud Platform or similar, including services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, and more.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure areas related to virtual machine management, service deployment and high availability.
• Strong experience in mobile application development (iOS and/or Android).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security practices and tools.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing software architectures.
• Ability to plan a project and follow through on execution.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with technologies such as AOSP/Android, WebRTC, Kubernetes, Tekton, React Native.
