Job Summary

The Compliance Data Analyst will provide data-driven insights to support the gathering and analysis of compliance data, for monitoring and reporting purposes. Utilizing analytical techniques to handle large datasets and obtain insightful compliance information, the Data Analyst will support the Momentum Group (Momentum) to track key compliance metrics and make informed decisions whilst helping to ensure regulatory adherence.


Responsibilities

The Compliance Data Analyst will report to Momentum’s Compliance Monitoring Operations Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Gather and organize data related to compliance activities from various sources including back-end systems, the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), regulatory reports, audit findings and risk assessments.
  • Create Momentums compliance data repository - maintain and update the repository to ensure data accuracy and real time availability for analysis of key compliance metrics.
  • Work with Business Unit Compliance Teams to gather results of Compliance Monitoring for inclusion into Group Compliance Reporting.
  • Develop and prepare regular and ad-hoc compliance reports and dashboards for the Head of Compliance Monitoring and Senior Management.
  • In conjunction with the Compliance Leadership Team, define and track a suite of compliance KPIs.
  • Ongoing tracking of regulatory requirements and compliance standards to ensure that chosen data points remain relevant.
  • Report discrepancies and non-compliance issues.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support policy and procedure development.
  • Collect data to provide insight into the internal compliance training needs across the business, with an aim to enhance employee understanding of compliance requirements and best practice.
  • Strong focus on ‘continuous improvement’ through continuously evaluating compliance data collection, management and reporting process – calling out opportunities for greater efficiency and accuracy.


Requirements

  • Advanced level experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau or Power BI is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferably Gaming/Lottery.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies and non-compliance issues.
  • Ability to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various functions across the 3 lines of defense.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, compliance, risk management, or a similar role.
