We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our Support Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our client's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 remote and on-site support to a diverse range of customers
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime
  • Work with the project team to design, configure, deploy and support network solutions to meet business needs
  • Implement and manage network security measures to protect against cyber threats
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Continuous process improvement and provide technical support and training to other team members


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer ideally in MSP or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching
  • Cisco / Juniper Certifications eg CCNA, CCNP
  • Experience in troubleshooting and implementing firewall policies
  • Experience in supporting and managing Wireless solutions
  • Understand Windows Server features; DNS, DHCP, NPS, RADIUS etc
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Superior problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Desired Skills

  • Familiar with some sort of Unified Threat Management Platform (Sophos, Cyberhound etc)
  • Experience with any of the companies in our scope - Juniper, Cisco, Extreme, Palo Alto, Meraki, Aruba, Aerohive, FortiGate
  • Understand the basic intricacies of virtual, private and public cloud networking
  • Experience in Load balancers
