A fast-growing tech company is seeking a strategic and technically adept CTO or Head of Engineering to lead a high-performing team. This role is pivotal in driving automation, optimizing processes, and scaling the business through cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and automation of optimization processes using machine learning and data-driven techniques.
• Oversee and maintain a machine learning-enabled platform.
• Ensure seamless collaboration across data engineering, core development, and data science teams.
• Troubleshoot team productivity and process issues to enhance efficiency.
• Make high-impact technology decisions that align with business objectives.
• Manage and scale a team of ~25 engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide mentorship, career growth, and resource support for the data science team.

Key Requirements:

• Strong data and statistical literacy.
• Understanding of security best practices.
• Proven ability to optimize team workflows and troubleshoot productivity challenges.
• Excellent leadership and line management experience, with a focus on career development.
• Strong experience in recruiting and team building.
• Ability to assess and engage in technical discussions, even if not hands-on.
• Familiarity with machine learning principles and applications.

Ideal Background:

• Experience leading a team of 25+ engineers.
• Background as a high-level engineer who may no longer be hands-on but still technically adept.
• Strategic mindset with a history of making impactful technical decisions.
• Experience in data-driven industries, particularly ad tech, is highly desirable.
