Role Description

The Senior Editor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the content strategy and editorial operations of our site. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of our published content, while also guiding and mentoring our team of writers and editors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, excellent editorial skills, and a proven track record of managing editorial teams in a fast-paced environment.

Core Tasks

• Oversee the editorial calendar and manage the publication schedule to ensure timely delivery of content.
• Work closely with the Head of Content to implement content strategies that align with the company’s goals and target audience.
• Edit and proofread articles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and readability.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers and junior editors to enhance their skills and improve content quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry to ensure content relevance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to promote content and increase audience engagement.
• Monitor site analytics to assess content performance and make data-driven decisions for future content strategies.
• Work with the leadership team to identify and execute opportunities for content growth and audience expansion.
• Maintain and enforce editorial standards, including adherence to the site's style guide and ethical journalism practices.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Background in Journalism, Communications, English or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience
• Extensive knowledge and passion for crypto/web3
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of writers and editors.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using analytics tools to measure content performance.
• Experience in on-page SEO
