Network Engineer

Network Engineer Contract Role, Cork (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite)

My client is looking for an experienced engineer to join their team. Ideally the candidate will have Windows Server experience, files\folder permissions, and security tools experience. This role would be ideal for someone who has good Windows server experience and other MS products e.g. teams, SharePoint. Additionally, the candidate will need to be strong on file\folder permissions and the use of security tools to extract data for reporting purposes. They will need to have experience on writing Knowledge based articles or job aids for technical and non-technically minded people.

The Job:

• Leads, participates in and delivers compute and operations projects as required.
• The incumbent will be responsible to delivering key aspect to a site critical project.
• Communicates to relevant IT and Business stakeholders on project delivery.
• Manage Third Party Vendors
• Complete Large data migration using approved third party tools to an approved solution e.g. One Drive, Shared Point
• Knowledge of SharePoint and permissions
• Knowledge of shared drive structure and permissions
• Windows Server Knowledge and vCentre knowledge, ESx and virtual environments
• Expertise with Backup and recovery tools
• Expertise in storage
• Experience writing Knowledge based articles
• Experience arching data that is no longer required
• Knowledge of security assessment tools
• Experience applying permissions to folders and sub-folders

Have you:

• Strong history in Compute Operations with 5+ years' experience
• In-depth technical knowledge and integration experience is required across Compute & Security technologies.
• Degree/Masters in related area or relevant industry experience
• Previous experience collaborating, building relationships across multiple teams and vendors
• Broad technical capability as well as excellent communicator
• End to end ownership; act as owner by taking a holistic approach to solutions scoping and problem solving and actively driving collaboration across functions
• Ability to engage and influence across business functions
