Junior Data Scientist

Exacaster’s team is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our Genesis team.

About the role:

We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist passionate about working with both generative AI and traditional ML solutions to solve business problems. This role involves assisting when designing, developing, and implementing business processes built on top of AI/ML models. These processes may encompass both back-end and front-end development, with a primary focus on Large Language Models (LLMs).

Your daily tasks will include:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyse Generative AI project requirements.
• Develop data processes and solutions based on Generative AI models.
• Develop and maintain knowledge bases using vector embeddings.
• Optimise existing Generative AI processes and models for improved performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Create clear and concise documentation — including technical specifications, user guides, and presentations — to communicate complex Gen AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Research to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Generative AI and machine learning in general.
  
  
  

We are looking for a person who has:

• Experience in the Data Science field: Knowledge of data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning (ML) techniques.
• Interest in developing and implementing processes based on generative AI models, with hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and similar.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience using GenAI and machine learning libraries and frameworks such as LangChain, LangServe, Streamlit, Chainlit, and others.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Interest in working with vector databases and vector search capabilities, such as Pinecone, Azure AI Search, and vector search extensions in relational databases like Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, etc.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to work in dynamic environment on several concurrent projects.

• Demonstrated interest in Research and Development (R&D): A passion for exploring cutting-edge technologies and contributing to innovative projects.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
• Proficiency with Git for version control: Experience in collaborative development using Git, GitHub, or similar platforms.
