Unit: IT Services

IT Services is responsible for the provision of information technology throughout most of the Group Collections, CyC, ICP and Bonding have their own IT teams). While maintaining the systems to ensure the business is able to operate on a global basis without interruption ITS also brings enhancements and improvements through the development of applications and technology to keep client at the forefront of the industry.

Job description:

As a Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the data content and applications within the IFRS17 big data platform. The IFRS17 chain consists of several (modern) technologies, based on Azure Cloud Stack:

Key Technologies:

• Azure Cloud
• Azure DevOps
• Kubernetes

Additional Technologies (a plus):

• Azure Data Factory
• Databricks
• Python / R
• Spark
• SQL

Responsibilities:

• Experience developing complex software solutions other than data pipelines
• Monitoring and networking skills
• Building and managing data pipelines on bare metal outside of pure cloud infrastructure (within Azure Stack)
• Hands-on experience from beginning to end of a shipped working product (i.e., you’re an experienced builder)
• Experience beyond testing (e.g. quality processes, verification & validation)
• Experience in configuring and managing cloud infrastructure (within Azure Stack)
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Architects for the construction and optimization.
• Optimize existing data models and algorithms to improve performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and drive data-related projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
