Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to manage the SDLC, from planning and prioritizing to testing and rapid delivery.

You will be part of our development team that works on business applications. As a Senior Java Developer team member, you have to contribute to the design and development of an application.

Job responsibilities / Role:

- Joining an Agile Scrum team responsible for the BaaS APIs of the organisation, to build APIs that can handle thousands of requests per second in a reliable and performant way.

- With numerous features in the pipeline, you will be continually challenged and learning as part of a collaborative, technology-driven team.

- Working with a modern tech stack including Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications.

- Ensure security and compliance standards are met in all developed software.

- With numerous features in the pipeline, you will be continually challenged and learning as part of a collaborative, technology-driven team.

Mandatory Skills:

- A Software Engineering background with strong proficiency in Java (8 or higher), with a solid understanding of its ecosystems.

- Familiarity with modern enterprise frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).

- Proficient in developing microservices.

- Skilled in writing autonomous, service-oriented RESTful APIs.

- Hands-on experience working with Kafka, Docker & Kubernetes.

- Proven experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Proficient in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.

- English C1 /+

Nice to have skills:

- Experience working with event-driven architectures or messaging solutions such as Kafka.

- Knowledge of core banking, such as customer and product information.
