Data Scientist (Python + GenAI) (freelance)

PwC Poland’s Digital& is a team of creative people focused on development in the field of DATA in its broadest sense. Our area of interest includes machine learning, MLOps, Data Engineering and everything related to data. We carry out projects related to ML, forecasting and, last but not least, Explainable AI. We support clients in a number of industries: banking, insurance, retail, and location: Europe, the US, South America and Asia.

We are looking for:

Data Scientist (Python + GenAI)

Your future role:

• Developing innovative solutions, both internally and for our PwC US clients by leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and AI technologies.
• Modelling, developing & validating intelligent assistants using the latest large language models (e.g., GPT-4, Falcon 2, LLAMA 3, Mixtral), employing Retrieval Augmented Generation techniques, and utilizing agent frameworks (e.g., Langraph, CrewAI).
• Utilizing AI expertise to recommend the most effective technical approaches and solution architectures for addressing business challenges.
• Communicating complex insights in a clear and actionable manner both to technical and non-technical colleagues and clients.
• Collecting, preprocessing and analyzing large datasets for training ML models
• Contributing to project documentation
  
  

Apply if you have:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience;
• Professional experience in building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and related concepts & design patterns (e.g. RAG, vector DBs, embeddings, prompt engineering, multi-agent systems)
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks (e.g. Langchain, LLamaindex)
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Core skills in statistics
• Solid knowledge of ML/AI concepts: types of algorithms, machine learning frameworks, model efficiency metrics, model life-cycle, AI architectures
• Experience in training/using transformer-based models for text and/or image data
• Expertise in working with large datasets and perform data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation (e.g. Pandas, NumPy, SQL))
• Graduated in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Operational Research or a related discipline
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  
  

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of frameworks and Python libraries related to GenAI agents (e.g. Langraph, CrewAI, Autogen, Taskweave)
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing techniques
• Knowledge of an extra programming language (e.g. C#, Go, Java)
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning key concepts
