🚨 Founding Engineer — Join the team building the next breakout social platform

Blend is live. Users are swiping, joining groups, and building real communities through a group-first experience that doesn’t exist anywhere else.

We’ve validated the model, built a strong tech foundation, and launched a product that’s already gaining traction. Now we’re looking for a Founding Engineer to scale this with us.

You’ll be working directly with the founders — not filtered through layers. You’ll help shape the future of Blend technically, architecturally, and experientially.

This is an equity-first role — for someone who’s ready to own and build, not just code.

👨‍💻 What You’ll Build

• React Native mobile app — own and optimize the full mobile experience
• Laravel backend — build scalable APIs, manage logic, and evolve our architecture
• Group interactions — blending, voting, swiping, event creation, and chat
• Performance improvements — reduce lag, fix media handling, increase speed
• Real-time experiences — notifications, in-app updates, chat, and more
• Scalable systems — help us grow from hundreds to thousands of active users

🎯 Who You Are

• 2+ years hands-on experience shipping real-world apps (freelance or startup projects welcome)
• Comfortable with React Native, Laravel, MySQL, and integrating REST APIs
• Strong focus on UX, performance, and clean code
• Proactive, independent, and execution-driven — you build and you ship
• Hungry to own something early and grow it fast

Bonus if you’ve worked with:

• Mobile animation libraries (e.g. Reanimated, Lottie)
• Real-time communication (sockets, Firebase, Pusher, etc.)
• Image/video optimization on mobile
• In-app analytics or Mixpanel
