Senior DevOps Engineer

Do you want to join our team in KATIM? We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with the mindset of Site Reliability Engineer in place. He/she will be working with us in our fantastic offices in Abu Dhabi in a dynamic and talented team.

Responsabilities

1. Develop and maintain the company's DevOps strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and industry best practices.

2. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient software delivery and deployment.

3. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, quality assurance, and security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.

4. Continuously improve and optimize the infrastructure and systems to enhance performance, scalability, and security.

5. Monitor and analyze system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.

6. Implement, manage and orchestrate deployment automation with Terraform, Ansible and Helm.

7. Maintain and enhance the company's cloud infrastructure, leveraging services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

8. Champion and enforce best practices for version control, code review, continuous integration, and deployment.

9. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.

Requisites

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a senior role.
• 3+ years of Ops experience in a production, customer-facing environment
• Strong expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps.
• A firm understanding of Linux internals and experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of large-scale virtual and physical UNIX/Linux based infrastructures.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure management.
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS ECS).
• Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and proficiency with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Solid knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services, including serverless architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system health and performance.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including load balancers, firewalls, and DNS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
• Proven track record of working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools like Jira and Confluence.
