RDS IT Solutions is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Dapto, serving the Illawarra region for over 14 years. We’re seeking a skilled Level 2 IT Technician to join our dynamic team, delivering advanced MSP support and break/fix solutions to our valued clients.

About The Role

As a Level 2 IT Technician, you’ll tackle more complex IT challenges, support our MSP clients with proactive solutions, and provide expert break/fix services both in-store at our Dapto location and on-site. This role is perfect for an experienced technician who thrives on variety and wants to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve advanced hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Manage MSP tasks, including server maintenance, network configurations, and cybersecurity measures.
• Perform complex break/fix repairs, including data recovery and system optimizations.
• Support clients with cloud solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure) and virtualization.
• Mentor Level 1 technicians and escalate issues when needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation for client systems and support tickets.
• Build strong client relationships through professional on-site and remote support.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, ideally in an MSP or break/fix environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and backup solutions.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license for on-site client visits across the Illawarra region.
• Great communication skills and a proactive, client-focused mindset.
