Key Responsibilities
As a WordPress Developer/Designer Intern, you will:
Design and Develop WordPress Websites: Use industry-leading tools such as Elementor, Gutenberg, and WPBakery Page Builder (or child themes) to design and develop fully functional, visually appealing WordPress websites.
Website Performance Optimization: Optimize websites to ensure fast loading times and smooth navigation, improving user experience and enhancing site performance. You will also troubleshoot and resolve any technical WordPress issues that may arise in a remote work setting.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Apply SEO best practices to websites, helping boost their visibility in search engine results and driving organic traffic to clients' sites. This includes optimizing page content, images, meta tags, and site structure.
Stay Current with Industry Trends: Maintain a proactive approach to learning by staying updated on the latest trends in web design, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies.
Academic Background
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or master's degree in technology, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
Requirements
Proven WordPress Experience: A portfolio showcasing your previous work is essential, demonstrating a proven track record in WordPress development and design.
WordPress and Page Builders: Good knowledge of the WordPress CMS platform and popular page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, and WPBakery Page Builder is required. Familiarity with theme and plugin development is a plus.
SEO and Web Design Knowledge: A grasp of web design principles, responsive design practices, and SEO best practices will help to ensure websites are visually appealing and optimized for search engines.
Communication and Collaboration: Good communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with remote team members and clients. You should be comfortable working in a Remoteenvironment and have the ability to articulate design concepts and development solutions.
Self-Motivation and Organization: You should be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. A passion for continuous learning and staying current with web design and technology advancements is also essential.
