Computational Materials Scientist* (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Computational Materials Scientist with focus on Glass and Glass Ceramics to join our Research & Development Team at our headquarters in Mainz.

Your Contribution

• Integration of materials simulation and materials informatics approaches with R&D processes
• In-depth analysis of material-process-property relations to meet future product requirements
• Translation of insights into industrial practice
• Responsibility for ambitious development projects
• Networking with scientific community and technology providers; monitoring the state of the art
  
  

Your Profile

• Excellent PhD in physics, chemistry or materials science
• Proficiency in one major programming (Python, C++, C, Fortran, etc.)
• Experience in glass and glass ceramics, industrial development, machine-learned interatomic potentials and/or data engineering is a plus
• Fluent business English (written and spoken), willingness to learn German
• Willingness to travel abroad
