We are hiring a Transactions Monitoring specialist!

About the Role:

Transactions monitoring specialist is responsible for the continuous monitoring of customer transactions in real-time and through retrospective analysis to identify and investigate potential suspicious activity. This role also includes blockchain and travel rule monitoring to track digital asset movements and conduct detailed alert investigations, ensuring compliance with Lithuanian AML regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts both real-time and retrospective analysis of customer transactions to detect unusual patterns, high-risk activities, and potential red flags
• Utilizes blockchain analysis tools to track digital asset movements, flagging any irregularities or patterns indicative of illicit activity, and escalating findings as necessary
• Investigates transaction monitoring alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems, differentiating between legitimate transactions and those requiring further scrutiny
• Performs regular review and investigation of daily screening alerts monitoring
• Reviews and investigates blockchain transactions in accordance with travel rule policy and EU Regulation 2015/847.
• Drafts and investigates potential SARs for cases requiring further review, escalating significant findings to the MLRO.
• Regularly screens transactions against sanctions and PEP lists, escalating potential matches for MLRO review and decision
• Maintains accurate, comprehensive records of monitoring results, escalations, and SAR drafts as required by regulatory standards and Teroxx’s policies
• Coordinates with the KYC and broader compliance teams to ensure a consistent approach to risk management and prepare routine reports on transaction monitoring activities for the MLRO
• Contributes to the creation of training content for employees and conducting regular training
• Supports and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders during the assessment and testing of AML program and regular AML and sanctions risk assessment

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in AML / KYC in a regulated financial or crypto firm 
• Attention to details and organized approach
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Lithuanian

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

• Academic qualification in law, finance, or similar
• Relevant experience in blockchain and crypto field
• Relevant certificates (e.g., CAMS, ICA) and training
• Experience with Elliptic including certification
