Role: AWS Data Engineer - Based in Romania (Fully Remote) - Collaboration type: CIM

Project industry: Formula 1 (F1)

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud computing, data modeling, and distributed computing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, and implementing efficient data architectures within an AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable data architectures and pipelines using AWS.
• Design ETL/ELT processes and work with relational/NoSQL databases.
• Optimize query performance and implement data governance.
• Utilize big data technologies (Apache Spark/Kafka) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage workflows with AWS Glue or Apache Airflow.
• Implement security best practices and collaborate across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• AWS cloud services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python; C# knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and schema design.
• Knowledge of distributed computing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
• Workflow orchestration (AWS Glue/Airflow), metadata management, and compliance.
• Query optimization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of security principles in data management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile development experience.
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Exposure to ML and AI-driven data pipelines.
