Job Description

The UX/UI Designer will work within the client experience design team and be responsible for working with the business and developers to continue the design evolution of client digital platforms. This is a hybrid role requiring skills in UX research as well as visual design implementation. The designer will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and developers in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Research & Benchmarking: Conduct extensive research, including benchmarking similar digital experiences, to understand user needs, pain points, and expectations. Use these insights to inform the design approach and product strategy.
  • User Flows & CX: Develop detailed user flows and customer journey maps to visualize complex interactions. Understand and design for diverse customer scenarios, ensuring that the user experience aligns with business and customer needs.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to explore initial design ideas, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions. Continuously refine designs to improve usability and user experience.
  • Design Implementation: Develop visually appealing and accessible UI designs, adhering to established design systems and style constraints where applicable. Ensure the final design aligns with user research and business goals.
  • Collaboration & Backlog Management: Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize them in the backlog. Ensure that design tasks are well-defined and integrated into the product development roadmap.
  • Agile Workflow: Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and iterated upon as needed.
  • Validation & Testing: Conduct usability testing to validate design concepts, refine user flows, and gather feedback. Adjust designs based on findings to enhance the overall user experience.

Person Requirements

  • Hybrid UX/UI Expertise: Strong background in UX with an emphasis on designing and refining complex user flows before moving into UI design.
  • Proven experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interface design, with a portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX and UI projects.
  • Experience working with customer scenarios, mapping out user journeys, and developing user-centric experiences.
  • Experience in research and benchmarking for consumer-facing websites.
  • Experience in designing and creating web and digital interfaces
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders and product teams.
  • Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams, including developers and product owners.
  • Minimum 4 years commercial work experience
  • Strong knowledge of design and prototyping with tools such as Figma,
  • Experience with user research tool Maze
