Oslo, Norway (Hybrid)

An IS Security Senior Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• To manage day-to-day activities: services provided to internal or external Customers, support to the system, support to the IS-IT in operation.
• To perform operations, anticipates operational problems and contributes to improve the system operation.
• To continually improve the system, continually improves the IS-IT, prevents customer issues, and manages corrective actions.
• To Optimize Hitachi support by
• Liaising with the Service Delivery Manager in order to consider customer dissatisfaction factors and the proposed improvement solutions or processes
• Defining and/or completes troubleshooting procedures
• Mentoring and training of support staff
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complies with legal regulation.
• Executing incident response activities as Incident Manager - Participates in the detection, containment, and eradication efforts of information security incidents as well as the restauration of affected systems.
• Supporting updating incident response procedures and recording decisions, actions, and inputs/outputs pertaining to incident response where needed.
• Overseeing security event monitoring, threat management, and threat modeling, identifies threat vectors and develops user cases for security monitoring. Creates and updates reports, dashboards, and metrics for security monitoring.
• Hunting for signs of malware and malicious events not detected by our existing security controls.
• Providing monthly status report on security incidents or events, to support the overall monthly report to the customer.
• Assisting in implementing new security mechanisms and features, and maintains/improves existing ones, e.g. user and access management or playbooks.
• Supporting to deploy patches when needed.
