About the Role
We’re looking for a curious, analytical and motivated Research & Development Intern to support our research and development efforts. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we define, measure, and report impact across various sectors. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data, outcomes, and building a more effective and accountable philanthropic space.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse public datasets, academic papers and policy frameworks to inform the development of impact metrics across various sectors
- Deepen our understanding of existing philanthropic models e.g. pay-for-success, outcomes-based financing to support our collaborations with subject-matter experts
- Conduct sector-specific research e.g. education, healthcare, poverty alleviation to surface insights on gaps, challenges and emerging trends
- Contribute to the development of robust, sector-specific frameworks and metrics that support meaningful outcomes for beneficiaries
- Support the design of tools and methodologies that promote collective impact and increase philanthropic engagement
Who You Are
- A critical thinker with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Academic background in social sciences, public policy, data science, economics or other research-focused disciplines
- Enthusiastic about working with data, metrics and evidence-based decision-making
- Passionate about building trust and vibrancy in the philanthropic space
- Strong communicator with the ability to distil and clearly present complex findings
- A self-starter who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments
- Experience or coursework in areas such as Theory of Change, impact measurement, social financing or philanthropy is a plus, but not required
