The role of this DevOps Engineer is to work closely with the software engineering teams to drive forward the automation of development and deployment processes as well as automated infrastructure provisioning, ensure efficiency and effectiveness of our applications in the cloud-based system landscape and improve our solutions for operating containers.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance our cloud-based system landscape
• Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our applications in Azure through automation and standardization
• Design and author infrastructure as code using best practices and technologies
• Operate and improve our solutions for operating containers
• Drive automation of deployment processes using Azure DevOps, GitLab, ArgoCD, Kubernetes and Ansible
• Configure and manage Linux-based servers
• Closely collaborate with our software developers, software quality assurance engineers and IT colleagues
  
  

Your Qualification And Capabilities

• Degree in computer science or comparable
• Relevant professional experience and very good application knowledge of the Azure Cloud
• At best, you have a certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g. Azure Developer, DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect)
• Experience in delivering solutions using the following technologies or similar: Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible
• Experience in container-based architecture, deployments and administration
• At best, you have a certification in Kubernetes (e.g. CKA)
• Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages
• Good knowledge of development processes (CI/CD)
• Good knowledge of Linux, virtualization and database solutions (e.g. MySQL/MariaDB)
• Good English communications skills
