About The Job

Design and user experience (UX) are at the forefront of everything we do. The job of an Interaction Designer is to envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and even magical. In an Interaction Designer role, you’ll address complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for billions of people around the world—from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.

Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We’re focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications following a user-centered process to communicate product goals and design solutions.
  • Develop interaction patterns, define framework components, and apply visual styles consistent with design systems and the Google/Customer brand.
  • Collaborate with product management, customers, innovation team, engineering, and user research to define, test, and launch features that maximize end user, developer, and business value and impact.
  • Take input, requirements, and feedback from multiple stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations, and participate in regular design reviews.
