Senior Java Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our Lithuanian team for a re-platforming project. The role involves transforming a monolithic system into a modern, microservices-based architecture using a strangler pattern.

You will help replace the existing SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform with a new API-based solution, enhancing the e-commerce architecture and driving new business capabilities. By leveraging user data and insights, the project aims to deliver an improved customer experience and enable a shared service vision across the client’s business segments.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, scalable Java code, ensuring best practices and performance standards are met
• Provide innovative and effective solutions to complex business challenges
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and deliverables
• Dive deep into the business domain to fully understand the context and impact of your solutions
• Demonstrate strong ownership by working independently and maintaining a high level of code quality throughout development cycles
  
  
  

Requirements

• 4+ years of Java development professional experience
• Proficiency in Spring framework (Core, MVC, Boot)
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
• Background with application design
• Experience with WebServices
• Skills in Agile and Scrum methodologies
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
