We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of generative AI intern in research and development. We are seeking a motivated and talented student to join our team to work on cutting-edge research and contribute to the development of personalized systems that can adapt and improve over time based on the user's interactions.

What awaits you?

• In this project, you will be part of training and developing transformer-based generative AI models to deliver intelligent user experiences within our vehicles.
• You will implement and fine-tune various architectures to enhance the capabilities of these models.
• Furthermore, you will help to manage and process large datasets necessary for training machine learning models, and apply preprocessing techniques to clean and prepare raw data for model training.
• You will collaborate closely with experts across various business lines to identify, analyze, decompose algorithmically, and solve complex tasks related to the industrial application of advanced machine learning.
• In addition, you will stay updated on the latest technology trends and their potential applications.
• To address your analytical use cases, you will have access to a wide range of data sources.
  
  
  

What should you bring along?

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks/libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Huggingface Transformer) and programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Good understanding of generative models or experience with any transformer-based architectures.
• Experience with multi-GPU training and parallel computing and in designing and implementing generative AI solutions.
• Experience in working with big data technologies and tools and in working on cloud platforms.
• Business-fluent English. German skills are an advantage.
